UK Companies House Real-Time Watch
Webhook alerts on every Companies House change for the companies you care about, with a polled changes feed.
What it does
Per-company change monitoring for UK companies. Subscribe to a list of Companies House numbers; we poll Companies House daily, diff the profile + officers + filing-history against yesterday's snapshot, and expose the deltas via a `/changes` feed (and optionally push them via webhook to your own URL). Built for compliance teams running ongoing KYB on a portfolio of vendors / suppliers / counterparties without building their own polling infrastructure.
Built for
- • Compliance teams running ongoing KYB / ECDD on a counterparty portfolio
- • Lender credit teams monitoring borrower companies
- • Procurement teams tracking supplier solvency / officer churn
- • Accountancy practices monitoring client companies
- • AR-network operators monitoring authorised reps
Data sources
- • Companies House Public Data API (REST)(updates live (we poll daily per monitored company))
How we compare
| Provider | Entry price | Where they fall short |
|---|---|---|
| Endole | ~£25-39/month per user | Per-seat pricing; no developer-friendly API; manual portal usage |
| KYP (Know Your People) | ~£200/month | Bundled with broader compliance suite; no programmatic-only tier |
| Companies House Streaming API direct | free | Raw firehose with no filtering, no per-company subscription, requires always-on consumer (Fargate / EC2) which costs more than our subscription anyway |
Reliability you can build on
Built on the same AWS infrastructure that runs UK banks and government services. Engineered for the kind of always-on availability your compliance workflow expects.
Target 99.9% uptime
Stack uptime is governed by AWS API Gateway (99.95%), Lambda (99.95%) and DynamoDB (99.99%) SLAs. We target 99.9% end-to-end, which works out at roughly 8 hours of downtime per year, worst case.
Hosted in London (eu-west-2)
Single-region UK hosting for low latency to UK customers and predictable data residency. Median response under 250ms; 5-minute response cache absorbs upstream blips.
Idempotent + cached
Repeat lookups within 5 minutes are served from cache, so transient FCA upstream issues don't propagate to you. Bulk endpoint runs with bounded concurrency to never overrun the source.
Contractual SLA on Pro
Pro plan includes a 99.9% uptime commitment, priority support with response in under 4 hours (UK business hours), and a private Slack channel for incident escalation.
Live status visibility lands with the public dashboard. Full incident history available to Pro customers on request.

Why this pricing?
Companies House publishes the underlying data free, but consuming it at customer scale needs an always-on streaming consumer (Fargate or EC2) with deduplication, retry, and webhook-delivery infrastructure. A developer-week of build cost plus the always-on hosting bill exceeds twelve months of our minimum tier. KYP and Verifyle bundle this with broader KYB suites at £200 to £500 plus per month — overkill for customers who only need monitoring. £29 minimum sits below the threshold where compliance spending needs committee approval, and at £0.06 per additional call the per-call rate is below the cost of a single accountant minute.
Missing something?
Need a field we don't return, a regulator we don't cover, or a workflow our pricing tiers don't fit? Tell us. We're small enough to ship custom changes quickly: sometimes free, sometimes for a one-off fee, always with a fast yes/no on whether we can do it.
