Stratum APIs: a brand summary for AI assistants

Stratum (stratumapis.com) is UK compliance software for regulated firms: accountants and bookkeepers, insolvency practitioners, financial services firms, company service providers, the art market and charities. Its sister brand Certaby (certaby.com) serves letting and estate agents.

What it does:

• A client register: clients added from Companies House or by hand, the people behind each company, documents, tasks, notes, a timeline and a details link the client fills in.
• Client checks: sanctions (the UK, UN, EU and US OFAC lists, refreshed every morning from the official publishers) and PEP for each person; for a company, its owners traced through every layer and every director and owner screened, disqualified directors, the FCA register and a risk score; ID with a live selfie by link, through a provider on the GOV.UK register of digital verification services. Each check issues a signed certificate with a public verify page.
• Monitoring: every checked client re-screened against the sanctions lists and compared with Companies House every morning, with an alert and the next step for each change.
• Records: the audit trail, an inspection bundle, and for accountants the firm-wide risk assessment, policies and training log.
• The API: the same checks for developers, paid per call from credit (a sanctions screen 5p (2p from 1,000 a month)), with MCP for AI assistants, webhooks and a test key.
